The city of Molfetta and the Breathomics

“In a breathMolfetta, City of Sciences, scheduled for December 11th, 2019 at the “Cittadella degli Artisti” urban laboratory, is an opportunity for an in-depth study on the activities of the new Regional Breath Analysis Center, Giovanni Paolo II Cancer Institute of Bari.

The Center is the result of a path which, starting from the research carried out in the academic field by professors Gianluigi De Gennaro and Donato Altomare at the University of Bari, has found application in the research of the public-private technological cluster Inside the Breath, at the end of which the MISTRAL prototype was developed.
The opening of the works, scheduled at 4 pm, will be entrusted to the professors of the University of Bari Giuseppe Corriero and Francesco Paolo De Ceglia.

Subsequently, Giovanni Roma, Director of the Department of Visceral Surgery at the National Cancer Institute “G. Pascale ”in Naples, will deliver a Lectio Magistralis entitled“ The challenges of modern oncology in the diagnosis and therapy of colorectal cancer ”.
The other planned interventions will include those by Gianluigi de Gennaro, Donato Francesco Altomare and Angelo Gigante, CEO of Predict, who will close the first part of the meeting.
The second part, entitled “Fallen in a good network”, provides for the reports of Giovanni Gorgoni, Director of ARESS, and Antonio Delvino, Director General of the Cancer Institute of Bari.
The conclusions will be entrusted to Vito Montanaro, to the Rector of UNIBA Stefano Bronzini and to the Mayor of Molfetta Tommaso Minervini. President of the Puglia Region Michele Emiliano will close the works at 6.15 pm.
